How does a translation memory work?

A Translation Memory identifies identical or similar text segments that have already been translated, suggests them again and thus supports faster, more consistent translation processes.

A Translation Memory identifies already translated content and automatically suggests it again.

For each translation project, the system compares new texts with the existing translation repository. If identical or similar segments are found, they can be adopted directly or used as a suggestion.

This results in:

  • faster translation processes
  • consistent wording
  • less manual translation effort
